Nicholas Pinnock – ‘Greg’
Nicholas Pinnock will next be seen in COUNTERPART (Starz) opposite JK Simmons. He recently reprised the role of ‘Jay Jackson’ in THE ROYALE from 3rd November – 26th November, after a successful run last spring at the Bush Theatre. Earlier this year, Nicholas was seen in ITV 1’s crime drama MARCELLA. He starred as the male lead alongside Anna Friel, Laura Carmichael and Sinead Cusack in the 8-part drama, which TX’d in April. Beginning his career as a child actor, Nicholas has starred in a number of projects including MR MAGUS IS WAITING FOR YOU, TOP BOY, ICE CREAM GIRLS, GRANGE HILL, EASTENDERS, THE BILL, DALZIEL & PASCOE, FOOTBALLERS WIVES and CASUALTY, to name but a few. Other TV work includes the movies KINGDOM OF THE BLIND with Clive Owen and DIAMONDS with James Purefoy. Last year Nicholas was seen in the role of ‘Frank Sutter’ in Sky’s much acclaimed FORTITUDE and as ‘Bishop Mick Hunter’ in ITV’s MIDWINTER OF THE SPIRIT. Theatre work includes AS YOU LIKE IT at Staffordshire Castle at the Staffordshire Shakespeare Festival, followed by working with directors such as Kathy Burke in Hampstead Theatre’s production of BORN BAD, David Grieg and Marisa Zanotti in the Edinburgh Official Festival’s production of the critically acclaimed SAN DIEGO, and TOPDOG/UNDERDOG at Glasgow’s Citizens Theatre. Nicholas was most recently seen on stage in THE ROYALE at the Bush Theatre, Shepherd’s Bush, where The Guardian wrote ‘Nicholas Pinnock captures perfectly Jackson’s mix of physical self-assurance and consciousness of the heavy burden he carries as an African-American hero’. George is a documentary, commercials and film director as well as a photographer. Previous short films as director include ‘Twelve’ starring BAFTA winner Monica Dolan and BAFTA nominee Joseph Mawle. ‘Child’ starring Jeff Stewart and the upcoming ‘Physical Impossibility’ starring BAFTA nominated actress and writer, Meera Syal. In 2016 George took a person`s photo portrait every day for a year and created a project entitled ‘2016 People’. Dom is an award-winning director/producer working in both theatre and film. An alumnus of the National Youth Film Academy, Dom’s film credits include The Wrong Pen (Producer) and the forthcoming horror feature Retreat (First Assistant Director). He also co-founded and is Artistic Director of the production company Quirk.
